"Top 10 Resume Mistakes"

by Ginny Kisling

Most recruiters have a built-in radar and know when things just don't add up. Be careful not to over-promise, embellish or misrepresent yourself on your resume.

If your resume contains any of these blunders it will contribute to delays and silences in your job search.  A few choice adjustments could make all the difference for you.

  • Poor grammar and spelling
  • Unclear objective
  • Poorly organized, cluttered and difficult to read
  • Too much information on your resume
  • Many job changes
  • Obvious employment gap with no explanation
  • No clear career path
  • Experience does not match requirements for position being applied for
  • Exaggeration/resume inflation
  • False information
